Estimated salary: $194,500
Range: $152,200 - $236,800

Description

Trusted by more startups around the world, AWS makes the power of cloud computing accessible for all by giving founders everywhere access to the same technology that powers the world's largest companies. With nearly two decades of experience supporting hundreds of thousands of startups, including 80% of unicorns, we democratize cloud computing to help founders bring their innovative ideas to life.

The AWS Startups team builds innovative products and platforms that support startup customers throughout their journey โ€” from initial onboarding and credit programs to AI-powered guidance and scale solutions. Our portfolio includes products serving hundreds of thousands of startup customers globally, and we partner with business development, field marketing, and solutions architecture teams worldwide.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical (External Services) to own the product strategy, roadmap, and external delivery of a new AI-powered startup guidance experience โ€” an intelligent agent that understands each startup's unique context to deliver personalized technical guidance, architecture recommendations, and growth insights. This product leverages generative AI to learn from credit applications, startup websites, AWS service usage, and developer conversations to help early-stage founders make the right technical decisions โ€” from first build through scale. The experience is delivered externally through AWS's startup portal and integrated directly into leading developer IDEs.

This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the intersection of generative AI and the startup ecosystem. You will own both the product definition and the external service delivery โ€” shaping APIs, developer experiences, GTM, pricing, and operational excellence for a live, customer-facing AWS product.

Key job responsibilities

- Own end-to-end product lifecycle for an externally-facing AI-powered service โ€” from vision and strategy through engineering design, launch, adoption, and iteration

- Define and drive the product roadmap โ€” expanding from initial personalized technical guidance into deeper growth triggers, including smarter alerts, curated prompts, and autonomous actions

- Lead external service design โ€” define APIs, developer integrations, and product surfaces that meet the reliability, security, and operational bar of an AWS-grade external service

- Drive go-to-market strategy and execution โ€” own positioning, naming, launch plans, and adoption metrics in partnership with field marketing, business development, and solutions architecture teams globally

- Build the data product vision โ€” combine multiple data sources (third-party data, service usage patterns, architecture analysis, best-practice corpora) to create predictive models that surface high-potential startups and anticipate workload evolution

- Partner cross-functionally โ€” work with Engineering, Data science, Design, Solution Architects, and Field teams across geographies to deliver at pace

- Drive product discussions with executives (technical and non-technical) โ€” write business proposals, roadmap narratives, and operational reviews

- Champion the customer โ€” engage directly with startup founders and field teams to understand pain points and translate ambiguous needs into successful products
