Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building a world-class marketing organization, and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager – Technical to help us define and build our Measurement capability to fuel the marketing team’s performance and growth.

In this strategic, high-visibility role you will be responsible for defining and driving a new set of analytics, AI/ML and science solutions to optimize AWS Marketing investments.

As a key leader on the team you will partner with experts across fields of Science, Business Intelligence, and Software Development to develop new and innovative solutions to some of the hardest challenges in Marketing. You will help us define the problems we are trying to solve, manage product development, and heavily contribute to our product roadmap strategy of multiple products that span the wide variety of AWS marketing activities.

You will partner with marketing and sales leaders, finance, and marketing and sales operations teams to ensure the team builds the right solutions, and then drive adoption of products to measure and optimize marketing to drive sales outcomes.

In doing so you will play a mix of product, and program management roles. You will work with business owners to gather requirements and distill it into clear working-backwards BRDs, use broad context from multiple businesses to set and drive 3-year vision and 1-year operating plans, guide a team of scientists/economists/software development engineers using clear customer requirements, and manage the program aspects including business reviews and leadership education sessions.

The products are technically complex. To be successful in this role, you need to be analytical and technical enough to know the science+engineering systems to independently make informed decisions in discussions with customers (and not overly rely on the team in each discussion). It doesn't manage one product, but a suite of them which requires thinking on different tracks and being able to deliver through others.

You need the power to generate business insights and guide multiple Directors/VPs with their decision making. You should enjoy and excel at verbal and written communication, as it will be your job to represent the value of new solutions to business leaders.
