The Customer Channels Technology (CCTech) team at AWS is responsible for providing customer-centric marketing technology solutions. As a Product Manager – Technical, you will own and define the lifecycle of a suite of products inclusive of defining product strategy, feature design, technology approach, and roadmap priorities. You thrive in highly ambiguous situations while working backwards from our customers to understand their pain-points and develop technology scalable solutions that impact them. You will manage and mentor a group of product managers, partner with engineering, program management, science, and design driving alignment across diverse set of organization stakeholders. As a Product Manager – Technical, within CCTech, you will utilize deep technical understanding to assess technology impacts, recognize complex designs, evaluate emerging technologies such as Gen-AI, and ensure solutions meet scalability and innovation needs. you will define product value propositions and drive strategic product communications across the organization engaging with executives and various stakeholders. As a product portfolio owner, you will play a key role in building out our product management mechanisms, and help set the vision, values, and culture of our team. You also participate, sharing knowledge and collaborating, specifically attending, and/or presenting at internal conference.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop product management team.

• Translate complex and ambiguous business problems into crisp product strategies and roadmaps

• Lead definition product vision, own the strategic direction and long-term roadmap for a suite of products in highly ambiguous situations

• Lead roadmap execution as product owner, and through other Product Managers.

• Create various product artifacts, such as shaping documents, BRDs, PR FAQs, and more

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as Gen-AI, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, and identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.

• Partner with Engineering, Program Management, CX, science, design and internal/external stakeholders on product development and launch

• Provide technical oversight across the software development lifecycle

• Actively develop others in the PMT community, including mentoring and performing technical assessments

• Roll-up your sleeves and do your own deep dives into data and research. Proactively identify and mitigate strategic/tactical risks

Qualifications

- 7+ years of technical product management, program management or engineering experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience managing teams



Extended Qualifications

- MS degree

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $258,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
