Description

Want to build and define how Amazon utilizes AI to run Amazon's biggest shopping events? We're hiring a Senior Product Manager - Technical to own EMERGE β€” the AI-native platform that orchestrates Prime Day, Black Friday, and 30+ high-velocity events across 22 marketplaces β€” with complete authority over the product's roadmap and future.

This is one of the most hands-on AI product roles at Amazon. EMERGE is transforming from an orchestration platform into a multi-agent AI system where specialized agents create events, generate content, manage levers, and coordinate 40+ partner teams β€” work that once took weeks now happens in minutes. You will define what AI-native event execution looks like for the entire company, and you'll do it with rare autonomy: you own the UX, the technical architecture direction, and the business strategy end-to-end.

- Design and ship multi-agent AI systems on the bleeding edge of AI integration at Amazon β€” agentic workflows, multi-agent coordination, and intelligent automation in production at global scale

- Total product ownership: you are the single decision-maker for roadmap, user experience, technical direction, and business outcomes β€” no committees.

- Your work appears on Amazon's highest-traffic pages during the company's highest-revenue events

- Influence how 10+ organizations across Tech, Stores, Marketing, and Merchandising adopt AI automation

Key job responsibilities

Own EMERGE (Event Orchestration) completely β€” vision, roadmap, UX, technical direction, and business strategy. You are the single-threaded leader with final authority over what the product becomes

- Define and execute the platform's AI-native transformation: design the multi-agent architecture (event orchestration, event creation, lever management, content/wireframe generation, and strategy agents) that automates event execution company-wide

- Push the frontier of applied AI at Amazon β€” evaluate emerging agentic patterns, run pilots, and scale what works into production systems serving hundreds of millions of customers

- Design the human-AI interaction model: decide where agents act autonomously, where humans steer, and where manual control remains β€” and build the UX that makes that seamless

- Own a portfolio of 25+ partner integrations, building data-driven business cases that influence partner team roadmaps across 8+ organizations

- Establish the governance mechanisms β€” SLA frameworks, automated validation, guardrails β€” that let AI agents move fast on customer-facing surfaces without compromising safety

- Author strategic documents (PR/FAQs, OP1 inputs, 3-year plans) and present your AI strategy to senior leadership up to VP level

- Drive operational excellence and event readiness for Prime Day and other tentpole events

A day in the life

You own this product outright β€” so your day is what you decide it should be. That might mean a morning design session on your next AI agent: how should the event-creation agent handle ambiguity, when should it ask a human, and what does the review UX look like? Midday, you're running an evaluation of a new agentic pattern against your production baseline, deciding whether it's ready for the front page of Amazon. Afternoon, you're pitching a partner org on replacing their manual workflow with your agent-driven integration β€” armed with pilot data proving the efficiency gain.

Your internal customers are the event managers, marketing, and merchandising teams who execute Amazon's events worldwide; your product's job is to give them AI teammates that eliminate their manual work. Your stakeholders span capacity planning, content, homepage, advertising, and deal-sourcing teams across 8+ organizations. The problems are the interesting kind: How autonomous can an agent be when a mistake shows up on Amazon's homepage during Prime Day? How do you design trust and control into agentic UX? How do you make one AI-native platform the source of truth an entire company builds on?

During event season, you're watching your agents execute live at global scale. Between events, you're setting the direction β€” because the roadmap is yours, from the next quarter's launches to the three-year vision.

About the team

The WW Events Tech team owns the technology behind Amazon's high-velocity events β€” the systems that plan, orchestrate, and execute Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, and dozens of recurring events across 22 marketplaces. We are betting the future of this space on AI: our mission is to make Amazon event execution AI-native, where agents do the work of coordination, creation, and validation that once consumed weeks of effort from 40+ teams.

We're a builder culture operating at the front edge of Amazon's AI adoption, with direct senior leadership visibility and an appetite for bold bets. Product managers here have real authority β€” you work daily with engineers and Principal Engineers, own your space end-to-end, and see your decisions reflected on Amazon's highest-traffic pages within weeks, not quarters. We value bias for action, data-driven influence, and backbone. The platform foundation is built and adopted by 40+ teams; the AI-native chapter is just beginning, and this role is the author of it.
