Description

We build commerce services to support merchants in growing their direct to consumer (DTC) e-commerce businesses. We're looking for an experienced technical product manager to lead Buy with Prime API product that will enable merchants to build innovative shopping experiences and e-commerce applications.

As a Principal PMT, you will lead product strategy for Buy with Prime API product. You will work directly with customers, dedicated engineering teams and senior leadership to drive product development and influence long term strategy.

Our ideal teammate will possess a strong product management background, have experience externalizing APIs for developers. You are naturally curious, data-driven and entrepreneurial as you take end-to-end ownership for your product. You are the kind of leader who anticipates bottlenecks, deftly navigates ambiguity, makes informed trade-off decisions and skillfully balances the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills that help you build strong partnerships with colleagues and influence senior leaders. Key job responsibilities

- Develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy for Buy with Prime API

- Deeply understand the technology that underpins our product and collaborate closely with engineering partners to externalize APIs.

- Work closely with developers to understand friction and collaborate with engineering counterparts on the roadmap to address gaps, identify dependencies and clear blockers, balancing impact vs. engineering cost.

- Champion the ideal end-to-end experience for developers and business decision makers as they consider integrating Buy with Prime.

- Define the success metrics for features or services to track performance, deep-dive on issues and uncover trends and patterns.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience technical product management

- 8+ years of experience with development and launch with APIs



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
