Description

Are you customer-obsessed, technically proficient, and passionate about building products that scale customer research and drive improvements to AWS products and their customer experience?

Amazon is seeking a motivated professional with hands-on technical experience in product development, data analysis, and cloud technologies - combined with strong coding skills and effective leadership abilities. This candidate will take on the role of a Sr. Product Manager Technical on our Customer Experience and Business Trends team.

Our team is dedicated to improving Amazon's technical products through evaluation of the end-to-end customer experience using both internal and external processes and technology. Our mission is to deeply understand our customer's experience, challenge the status quo, and provide insights that drive innovation to improve that experience. Through our analysis and insights, we inform business decisions that directly impact customer experience in utilizing AWS technologies. This role focuses on building and scaling customer research products that enable systematic evaluation of AWS products and services.

Key job responsibilities

- Build and own customer research product roadmap: Design, develop, and scale products and tools that enable systematic customer experience evaluation across AWS services. Own the product vision and roadmap for research automation, participant management systems, study orchestration platforms, and insight generation tools. Leverage technical expertise to build scalable solutions that support real-world cloud task studies with external participants.

- Get hands-on with technical implementation: Write code, build prototypes, develop automation scripts, and contribute directly to technical implementation. Work with Python, AWS services, data pipelines, and ML/AI tools to build and optimize research products. Be willing to dive deep into technical challenges and solve complex engineering problems alongside the team.

- Invent and simplify methodologies: Plan, design, and develop a portfolio of products, tools, and systems for automated data collection, analysis, and insight generation. Continuously innovate and improve processes to optimize efficiencies and scale research operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with Applied Scientists, Research Scientists, Data Scientists, SDEs, PM-Ts and TPMs to execute product development. Partner with AWS product teams and senior leadership to ensure research products deliver actionable insights. Present findings and product roadmaps to SVP+ audiences quarterly.

- Focus on customers and AWS product evaluation: Build products that enable deep understanding of customer experience across AWS services. Design systems that evaluate end-to-end customer journeys, identify pain points, and drive measurable improvements to AWS products and services.

A day in the life

You will own and build products that scale customer research and evaluation of AWS services. You will own product roadmaps, design architectures, and work hands-on with technical teams (when needed) to develop automation tools, research platforms, and insight generation systems. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and senior leaders to deliver products that transform how we understand and improve customer experience. You will balance strategic product thinking with tactical technical execution, getting your hands dirty with implementation while driving long-term vision.
