We're bringing TV into the AI era—revolutionizing discovery to help customers find 'what's next' and making TV the intelligent heart of the home.We are seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech to lead intelligent discovery and personalization for Fire TV. In this role, you will define and execute the vision for AI-powered discovery systems and personalization primitives that help customers find content they love. You will drive the development of recommendation systems, intelligent discovery features, and the foundational signals and frameworks that power experiences across Fire TV.
This role requires deep expertise in building discovery systems at scale, proficiency with AI/ML technologies, and a proven track record of delivering customer-obsessed experiences in consumer technology products. You will partner with engineering, data science, design, Prime Video, Alexa, and advertising teams to create the most intelligent content discovery experience in the industry.
Key job responsibilities
- Define and own the long-term product vision and strategy for hyper-personalized recommendations across Fire TV's global footprint.
- Drive the development of personalization primitives, signals, and frameworks that power experiences across search, browse, recommendations, and AI-powered interfaces; partnering with data science, product management, and engineering teams.
- Build and launch customer-facing discovery experiences including content rows, recommendation surfaces, and AI-driven features that directly impact how customers find and engage with content.
- Translate complex strategies into clear product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, technical complexity, performance, and business impact.
- Own key metrics including customer engagement, content discovery success rates, conversion, and satisfaction scores.
- Stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements in discovery, recommendation systems, and content intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience using managed ML/AI solutions
- Experience demonstrating strong analytical abilities and confidence in the use of data
- Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
- Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
- Bachelor's degree, or MBA in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field
- Experience working effectively with science, data processing, and software engineering teams
- Experience with digital products and interactive entertainment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
