Description
Do you enjoy architecting technical solutions and solving complex problems at the intersection of AI/ML and customer experience? The AMXL Product Strategy team is looking for an experienced technical leader with a strong record of delivering innovative AI-powered solutions and navigating uncharted territory to optimize the Heavy Bulky experience. This role will work with partners across the WW AMXL vertical, Data Science teams, Category teams, and partner Tech orgs to deliver scalable solutions that transform our customer’s buying experience and our Last Mile operations through AI/ML implementations.Key job responsibilities
- Drive technical architecture decisions and own end-to-end product development for Furnished with Amazon, LMM AI solutions, and GenAI initiatives for Heavy Bulky (HB) products.
- Form and lead cross-functional engineering teams to plan, organize, and execute complex ML/AI initiatives across multiple organizations
- Develop and communicate technical product vision for key AI/ML implementations, including chatbots, driver tools, and business integration solutions
- Define and implement technical requirements for AI-driven features while ensuring scalability and improved customer experience and operational efficiency
- Create comprehensive technical and strategic documentation and PRFAQs that clearly articulate architecture decisions, technical roadmaps, and expected outcomes
- Own technical KPIs and business metrics for multi-million dollar initiatives
- Stay current with emerging AI/ML technologies, identifying opportunities for implementation
- Up to 10% travel required
A day in the life
A Day in the Life of an AMXL Senior Product Manager – Tech will include:
- Leading cross-functional meetings with Operations, Transportation, and Tech teams to gather requirements and align on solutions for complex delivery challenges
- Analyzing operational metrics and customer feedback to identify opportunities for technological improvements, using data-driven insights to prioritize product features that enhance delivery success rates and customer satisfaction
- Partnering with ML/AI teams to develop and refine prediction models for delivery times, taking into account unique variables like item size, building access, and delivery complexity
- Driving weekly product review meeting with senior leadership, presenting progress on key initiatives and gathering feedback on proposed roadmap changes
- Partnering with your fellow Sr. Product Managers and Sr. Product Managers – Tech in the AMXL Product Strategy team to innovate on behalf of the entire AMXL end-to-end business, building features making Heavy Bulky purchases more seamless for our customers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience in an operational environment developing, fast-prototyping, piloting and launching analytic products
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
- Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
