Description

The Customer Purchase Journey Product Team’s mission is to offer the most trusted and delightfully easy experience for customers to build and evaluate their shopping basket, provide their address, and complete their purchase with confidence. Our commitment extends beyond purchase to include efficient delivery, cancellation and refunds, ensuring satisfaction in every step of the customer purchase journey. We also expedite innovation for customers while upholding regulatory compliance, by offering federated launch and experimentation mechanisms to teams across Amazon.

In this role, you will focus on our Checkout experience. We aspire to provide the most trusted and delightfully easy checkout experience, while feeling predictable, familiar, and personalized to customers.

Key job responsibilities

What you will do:

* You will identify and influence the prioritization of innovative, scalable solutions that ensures Amazon’s checkout experience remains efficient, secure, and accessible and enables Retail customers worldwide to review and place their order.

* You will partner with dedicated UX designers and Engineering teams to define the product vision and roadmap, champion the customer experience, drive the experimentation strategy, deep dive on business metrics and more.

* You will collaborate with the hundreds of partner teams that innovate across the purchase experience in a given year, gaining rare insight to Amazon-wide strategic initiatives and priorities.

* Beyond your experience area, you may own mechanisms or other goals that improve team efficiency and accelerate innovation for customers.

What you will learn:

* You will become adept at managing competing priorities, making high judgement decisions, writing PR FAQs, navigating ambiguity and complex relationships.

* You will further develop written and verbal communication skills to influence and work with senior management.

* You will develop skills in A/B testing, product thinking, and working cross-functionally with UX and Engineering teams to drive experiences across all devices (desktop, mobile app, etc.) and in all geographies.

* You will build relationships and learn about the initiatives driven across our broader organization, which powers Amazon’s most visited experiences (e.g. Homepage, Product Detail page, Navigation, Cart, etc.).

A day in the life

* Dive deep with your customers to identify and understand their pain points.

* Monitor and manage critical metrics for your business area.

* Use your technical judgment and understanding to test assumptions.

* Think big to build durable products that anticipate future pain points.

* Deliver products on time with the right feature set and high quality.

* Evangelize your products and drive adoption.

* Contribute to organizational product and roadmap planning and strategic artifacts (e.g. 3YP, OP1).

* Help others grow professionally.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- - 3+ years experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- -Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- -Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- -Experience managing technical products or online services

- -Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
