Job descriptionWe are looking for a Senior Product Manager - Tech to own the identity and household management strategy for Amazon Music. This opportunity puts you at the forefront of solving complex identity challenges for one of Amazon's fastest-growing services. In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of music streaming, household dynamics, and identity management, developing solutions that enhance the listening experience for Amazon families. We are dedicated to creating seamless, secure, and personalized experiences for our customers while navigating the complexities of shared accounts, family plans, and age-appropriate content delivery.
As a Product Manager for Identity and Household Management, you will work with Data Scientists, Engineering teams, and other Product groups to develop strategies and solutions that address the unique identity needs of Amazon Music users. You are highly data-driven with strong analytical skills. You are relentlessly proactive, working backwards from both individual users and family groups to deliver innovative identity solutions through delightful and intuitive experiences. You are naturally curious and will apply your creativity by taking the lead on developing and driving strategic investments for Amazon Music's identity framework, diving deep into complex data to understand user behavior and household dynamics. You're able to quickly identify friction points that hinder users' ability to manage their accounts, profiles, and shared experiences. You use data to make informed decisions and to formulate an end-to-end strategy to improve the customer experience through seamless and secure identity management. You thrive in ambiguity and love the diversity of work that comes with an all-hands-on-deck approach. This role will define innovative identity experiences and coordinate with internal teams to create scalable and repeatable solutions.
Key job responsibilities
As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical on the Amazon Music Identity team, you will be responsible for launching and improving highly visible identity and household management products within the Amazon Music experience. You will be responsible for making it easier for users to manage their accounts, share music with family members, and access age-appropriate content. You will need to Think Big to build innovative identity experiences that are both secure and user-friendly, while meeting the diverse needs of individual listeners and family groups. You will succeed in these endeavors by combining your business and product management acumen, analytical skills, and technical abilities, with your skills in listening, learning, communicating and driving consensus on identity framework changes across a diverse group of stakeholders.
About the team
The Music Identity Team builds and maintains the identity systems that power Amazon Music. We solve identity and household management challenges that impact millions of customers daily. Our work spans authentication, profile management, and household sharing capabilities - balancing security requirements with seamless user experiences.
We focus on two core areas: managing user access and authentication systems, and building household experiences including profile management and parental controls. Our services support both individual listeners and families, ensuring customers can easily access and share music while maintaining appropriate controls and personalization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Extended Qualifications
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools- Experience with concepts such as system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, system analysis, statistical analysis, reliability analysis, and decision making
- Experience handling complex consumer-facing experiences. The ideal candidate has worked in identity management systems.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
