Description

Amazon’s Optimal Sourcing Systems (OSS) is looking for experienced Project Owners who want to deliver Amazon’s next generation of supply chain management systems. As part of Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT) group, OSS designs and builds systems that measure and manage Amazon’s supplier capabilities, identify and react to order the products our customers want, and prioritizes inbound freight for our global network. Our software is used by every country Amazon services, and is a critical link to ensuring Amazon offers the products our customers want, at the lowest possible cost.

The OSS team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to build new services from the ground up and expand existing services. We are looking for a product leader to lead, designer to design, inventor to invent, builder to build, launch, and scale new and existing services for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

· End-to-end ownership of the metrics & goals that define success – own the product experience to drive the growth to achieve yearly targets

· Propose a list of features and working with the development team

· Understand tech architecture for your systems and tech teams.

· Use this understanding to create tech proposals and make right trade offs to design two way door solutions with the tech teams

· Develop the product strategy

· Analyze business drivers, understanding the underlying trends in the business, and reporting to senior management

· Launch product features, beta programs and marketing programs

· Meet customers and stakeholders to present the product roadmap



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning



Extended Qualifications

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

- Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
