Description
The Dynamic Configuration Technologies (DCT) team, part of Amazon's eCommerce Foundational Technologies, is responsible for developing technologies that enable Amazon software application teams to- Develop high-quality control planes;
- Manage and rapidly evolve application configuration, data definitions, and business rules to adapt to changing business needs;
- Dynamically change software configurations and behaviors safely and quickly with minimal operational disruption;
- Discover and leverage metadata across the enterprise to maximize reuse and decrease maintenance costs.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Sr. Product Manager – Technical (PM-T) who will be working with DCT's engineering teams to focus on new product and technology development. The PM-T is responsible for defining product strategy and assisting the team through the product lifecycle for our offerings. This position will be responsible for feature definition, prioritization, and communication with our thousands of internal users. This role will build and maintain relationships with technical and business leaders across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Serve as the 'Voice of the Customer' for several products throughout its life cycle, from initial concept creation to launch and subsequent support.
- Drive product development efforts, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, and launch efforts.
- Assist in developing new products by evaluating the business and competitive landscape, understanding customer needs and value drivers
- Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
- Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
- Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers
- Research and identify new opportunities
- Present confidently to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
Extended Qualifications
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
