We are looking for a Principal Product Manager - External Services with the ability to think big and look around corners to build the functionality customers need. You have a strong mix of product management, technology, and customer experience expertise, coupled with strategic vision, clarity of communication and proven execution of products from early concept through scaled growth. As the principal product manager, you will define will define product strategy, drive industry and customer research to deeply understand your customers to define differentiated functionality, and drive execution to meet those customer needs. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to drive key aspects of product definition, design, execution and delivery. We are looking for strong business owners who are comfortable sharing their vision with AWS senior leadership, but also working closely with engineering teams to dive deep into details to make ideas into reality. You should have demonstrated success in building strong business cases, managing high-growth enterprise products, and driving customer success.

Key job responsibilities

Create the product vision and strategy and align with key stakeholders.

Serve as the voice of the customer to prioritize features based on solving the largest customer needs.

Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution.

Partner with engineering teams to deliver on the product roadmap.

Establish goals and review metrics to measure the success and identify areas of improvement.

Define and maintain a product roadmap with inputs from all stakeholders.

Provide effective, executive-level written documents for new features that work backwards from the customer.

Advocate and execute pricing models and naming for new products or features.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

- 7+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience



Extended Qualifications

- Can dissect complicated problems, simplify experiences and innovate on behalf of our customers

- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented environment

- Excellent written communication skills

- Demonstrated history of successfully bringing novel products to market, such as those that integrate new technology, branch into new consumer segments or other market segments, or start new categories

- Demonstrated ability to champion the voice of other stakeholders in your products

- Strong team-orientation with proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results

- Have the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences

- Demonstrated experience in go-to-market inclusive of pricing and packaging of solutions

- Strong analytic and problem solving skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
