We are looking for a seasoned Principal Product Manager - Technical (PMT) to work with us building delightful ad experiences across various surfaces — such as product detail pages, the homepage, and store-in-store pages — to drive monetization. Our vision is deliver highly personalized, context-aware advertising that adapts to individual shopper preferences, scales across diverse page types, remains relevant to seasonal and event-driven moments, and integrates seamlessly with organic recommendations such as new arrivals, basket-building content, and fast-delivery options. Key job responsibilities

As a Principal Product Manager - Technical, you will work closely with business stakeholders, scientists and engineers across Amazon Ads and Stores to

* Chart and execute a course for delivering customized, differentiated shopping experiences in different context (e.g., product detail pages, homepage) and for different customer cohorts

* Develop a strong collaboration with Amazon Stores partners for prioritization and execution of new product features, CX experiences and monetization strategies

* Obsess over your customers and work backwards to define tenets, customer experiences, long-term goals, focus areas and key success metrics.

* Develop and present working backwards documents and product plans

* Influence senior leaders across Amazon by proactively communicating your vision, reporting plans and progress, and aligning with Amazon's core leadership principles



Qualifications

- 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience

- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience technical product management



Extended Qualifications

- Master's degree or above in computer science or other related discipline

- Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

- Proven track record of complex and creative problem-solving, and the desire to create and build new businesses

- Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding customer experiences

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions

- Experience with online advertising, search, recommendation, personalization, or e-commerce

- Outstanding oral and written communication

- Ability to work well with a variety of people ranging in various technical levels

- Entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for having fun

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
