Description

Amazon is looking for a Sr. Product & Customer Insights Manager to join our Customer Experience and Business Trends team. Our team’s mission is to deeply understand and improve customer experiences globally. As a Sr. Product & Customer Insights manager on the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our selling partners' experience.

The right candidate will have a passion for understanding the competitive landscape, assessing the end to end experience of selling partners, and building strong partnership across business teams to drive changes. You have a strong foundation in research and analytics, and the ability to understand the business context behind the data while continuously striving to identify actionable insights. You use strong curiosity and creativity to innovate new methodologies and mechanisms to better understand selling partners, while demonstrating strong sense of urgency and commitment.

You will make recommendations to senior leaders, and partner with business leaders in developing business actions that directly impact our selling partners.

Key job responsibilities

- Discover, track, and evaluate global industry trends

- Translate complex business problems into analysis requirements and create hypotheses.

- Own and execute large and complex studies end to end, including scope alignment with business leaders, methodology design, data collection and analysis, recommendations and presenting results to senior leaders

- Work with business leaders and their teams to drive growth, process, and cost efficiency improvements through study results

- Create and contribute to team roadmap by synthesizing business priorities, selling partner needs, and industry trends.

- Contribute to a team culture of experimentation and innovation

About the team

Customer Experience and Business Trends (CXBT) is an organization made up of a diverse suite of functions dedicated to deeply understanding and improving customer experience, globally. We are a team of builders that develop products, services, ideas, and various ways of leveraging data to influence product and service offerings – for almost every business at Amazon – for every customer (e.g., consumers, developers, sellers/brands, employees, investors, streamers, gamers).

Our approach is based on determining the customer need, along with problem solving, and we work backwards from there. We use technical and non-technical approaches and stay aware of industry and business trends. We are a global team, made up of a diverse set of profiles, skills, and backgrounds – including: Product Managers, Software Developers, Computer Vision experts, Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Analysts, Risk Managers, and more.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

- Experience in quantitative and qualitative research

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition



Extended Qualifications

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

- MBA

- Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership

- Experience in areas such as management consulting, internet, technology, retail, consumer goods

- Ability to conduct research in Spanish, German, or Hindi

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a proven ability to present in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including senior leadership

- Experience in retail or 3P businesses or B2B research

- Strong business acumen

- Self-starter, possesses flexibility to work in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
