Description
Amazon's Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support strategic procurement operations across our enterprise. This position offers the opportunity to drive impact across complex, high-value procurement initiatives while building capabilities that scale across the organization.The Senior Procurement Specialist will lead strategic procurement initiatives, manage cross-functional projects, and drive operational excellence across GPO. This role requires deep expertise in procurement operations, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead strategic procurement projects and initiatives with significant organizational impact
• Drive process improvement initiatives using data analysis, lean principles, and innovative solutions
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to optimize procurement outcomes
• Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks
• Analyze complex procurement data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale business transformations
• Develop mechanisms and metrics to track performance and drive continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience- Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing large, complicated programs
- Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- 6+ years of procurement, supply chain, operations, or related experience
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience in business process improvement, Lean or Six Sigma
- Experience coordinating and leading large-scale Digital or Global IT Transformation initiatives
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
