Description
Global Executive Development (GED) is seeking a skilled Principal, VP Experiences, to design and lead Amazon's flagship executive development experiences for the VP population. This role is responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of VP-level leadership experiences (e.g., programs, summits, ongoing learning) as part of Amazon's highest-visibility development investments for its most senior leaders.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in executive development, including facilitation, exceptional program management skills, and the credibility to influence and partner with senior executives. Success requires a strong point-of-view on what great leadership development looks like, the operational rigor to execute flawlessly, and the judgment to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics with discretion.
This position will directly impact Amazon's leadership pipeline and the ongoing growth of our VP population, requiring someone who can balance rigorous evaluation with meaningful development while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and excellence.
Key job responsibilities
• Design and deliver immersive VP-level leader experiences and senior leader seminars that strengthen enterprise thinking, broaden exposure to executive perspectives, and accelerate leadership readiness
• Lead participant selection and assessment processes for development programs, partnering with senior leaders and using data-driven talent evaluation and succession planning insights
• Develop challenging, business-relevant learning experiences that build cross-functional collaboration and strategic capability among senior leaders
• Establish personalized development planning processes that support participants before, during, and after program experiences
• Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to ensure program design reflects current business priorities and evolving organizational needs
• Measure and report on program effectiveness, including impact on succession planning, leadership pipeline strength, and participant development outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement of programs based on participant feedback, business outcomes, and organizational learning

Qualifications
- 10+ years of HR or business function experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources Management or Development, business, or similar related discipline
- Experience leading relevant talent programs, including cross-functional, global projects
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
