Description
We are seeking an experienced Principal, Strategy & Operations to join the PLEX organization within AWS. In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to a PLEX leader, operating as their right hand to drive organizational effectiveness, strategic execution, and operational excellence. You'll be part of a centralized business operations team that enables org leaders to maximize their impact across a growing AWS organization. In this role you will:Serve as a force multiplier to your executive partner, navigating multiple high-stakes initiatives that span organizational boundaries and require high judgment to balance competing priorities
Provide strategic counsel on decisions that shape organizational direction and resource allocation across PLEX, representing the leader in forums where your recommendations directly influence cross-functional alignment and executive-level outcomes
Exhibit exceptional discernment in managing highly sensitive situations while maintaining the autonomy to act decisively on behalf of leadership
Architect and drive the organizational goal-setting framework that cascades strategic priorities across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with broader PLEX and AWS objectives
Own critical leadership forums including MBRs and QBRs, synthesizing complex business performance data and organizational health metrics into strategic narratives that drive pivotal decisions on investment priorities, organizational structure, and strategic direction
Translate ambiguous strategic vision into executable roadmaps that require influencing senior leaders across PLEX and AWS to achieve cross-organizational buy-in and resource commitment
Build and leverage strategic relationships with peer business operations teams, Finance, HR, Recruiting, and other support functions to drive outcomes on initiatives requiring coordination across organizational silos
Serve as the central orchestration point for strategic initiatives that span multiple organizations, navigating complex stakeholder landscapes to secure alignment and resources on programs that fundamentally impact how PLEX operates and delivers value to AWS customers
Influence senior leaders and drive consensus on contentious issues, which will be critical to removing barriers and accelerating execution on the organization's highest-priority objectives

Qualifications
- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 7+ years of Excel (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working closely with and advising senior executives of an organization or equivalent- Previous experience in Chief of Staff or Business Operations leadership roles
- Experience working with senior executives in technology companies
- Track record of implementing and scaling organizational processes
- Demonstrated experience using data to navigate ambiguous decisions
- Expertise in Excel and demonstrated willingness to experiment with and apply new tools and technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
