We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensures our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Our designs are fundamentally changing the data center, providing operational and financial benefits that are critical to the success of the AWS business and its millions of customers. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with our team of innovative mechanical engineering builders developing and deploying the next generation of liquid cooling infrastructure for our data centers.
AWS is seeking a Principal, Mechanical Engineer for our team developing new infrastructure solutions that enable at-scale deployment of the latest liquid-cooled racks into our data centers. We are looking for an individual contributor with excellent people skills and prior liquid cooling product development experience. This role will work closely with both AWS builders and third-party manufacturers to develop data center infrastructure solutions on our behalf.
If you have experience leading product design of mechanical products, have an extensive understanding of liquid cooling solutions in data centers, and know how products should be manufactured to ensure quality, you may be a good fit. This role requires the ability to influence a team in developing detailed mechanical equipment specifications and evaluating the merit and risks of design changes.
