Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a strategic product executive to drive the integrated product vision and strategy for our Governance, Operations, and Security Services (GOSS) business which includes a large portfolio of services across Security Services, Monitoring and Observability, Identity and Governance, Open Search, and Cryptography. This is a highly visible role driving the product roadmap representing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio with ambitious growth targets. The successful candidate will help shape the future of AWS’s services within the GOSS organization, developing cohesive strategies that drive synergies across these interconnected domains while maintaining AWS's position as the trusted cloud provider of choice.

Key job responsibilities

Drive unified product strategy across security services, governance, and operations portfolios

Define and execute on a comprehensive product roadmap to grow the business and reduce complexity for customers

Lead cross-organizational initiatives requiring deep technical knowledge and business acumen

Influence and collaborate with senior technical leaders across AWS

Make data-driven decisions about investment priorities and portfolio optimization

Build and present business cases for new initiatives to senior leadership

Drive technical architecture decisions that impact mission-critical AWS infrastructure

Partner with engineering teams to ensure delivery of highly reliable, scalable solutions



Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in technical product management in a software engineering environment with a focus in the security, observability, and governance space

• Deep technical background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and security

• Track record of driving large-scale technical initiatives across multiple teams

• Experience managing mission-critical infrastructure or services

• Excellence in strategic thinking and complex problem-solving

• Superior stakeholder management and influence skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or 15+ years equivalent experience



Extended Qualifications

• Track record of growing businesses $1B+ in scale

• Strong business acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership

• Strong understanding of enterprise security requirements and compliance frameworks

• Experience driving product strategy in highly technical domains

• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority

• Experience presenting to and influencing C-level executives

• Strong technical vision with ability to connect business strategy to technical implementation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $217,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $338,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
