Description

Prime Air is seeking a Sr. Product Manager – Technical (PMT) to lead our pricing strategy. This is a highly visible role responsible for developing pricing models for Prime Air that offers under ultra-fast delivery speed to our customers.

You will lead the development of a scalable, real-time pricing engine that ingests operational data, demand signals, and cost structures to dynamically generate optimal pricing recommendations. You will own a multi-year initiative to develop a robust pricing system that supports both rule-based and algorithmic pricing. The engine will be foundational in helping Prime Air adapt to changing market conditions and scale flexibly with customer demand.

A successful candidate will be customer focused, highly analytical, able to overcome obstacles, an excellent communicator, and operate at all levels of the organization. The candidate should be comfortable driving key business decisions, create consensus, and make recommendations based on data. The ideal candidate will be someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, has attention to detail, comfortable with ambiguity, and a passion for data.

Key job responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the pricing engine for Prime Air including Shipping Thresholds, Promotional pricing.

• Define and implement innovative pricing strategies for Ultra-fast delivery speeds.

• Drive regional benchmarking, price positioning, and profit analysis

• Strong technical acumen; able to work effectively with engineers and data scientists.

• Lead global business level pricing narratives for monthly/quarterly reviews and long-term planning

• Assess new demand opportunities and develop corresponding pricing strategies



Qualifications

- MBA

- Experience managing technical products or online services

- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with experimentation platforms, pricing algorithms, or real-time decision engines.



Extended Qualifications

- Background in Computer science,Statistics, or economics is a plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
