Description

Amazon is looking for a PR Specialist to join our global Trust & Reputation team, focusing on risk and issues management. We're seeking a high-judgment communications professional who will help identify and respond to emerging topics impacting our consumer technology businesses—including Alexa+, Ring, Kindle, Fire TV, and Amazon Leo. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the globe in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and will work across a wide range of topics—including privacy, safety, security, and responsible AI.

In this role, you will navigate a matrixed global organization and build strong cross-functional relationships quickly. You will bring experience mitigating reputational risk on business-critical matters, providing PR counsel, and responding to media inquiries—all while looking around corners and exercising sound judgment. You will work closely with key business and policy leaders to provide counsel, manage nuanced reactive issues and news cycles, and develop and execute communications strategies that protect and strengthen customer trust in Amazon's products and services.

If you're right a lot and love diving into complex consumer technology issues, this role might be a great fit.

• Develop clear viewpoints on issues, crafting concise narratives and providing counsel to business leadership

• Engage with reporters to gather information, educate them about our business, and appropriately advocate for Amazon's position

• Partner with public policy and legal teams, and collaborate with PR colleagues globally, on emerging issues

• Inspect and refine processes to streamline ways of working
