Description
Amazon is seeking a highly-intelligent, high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to join our Operations External Public Relations team to support storytelling for Amazon’s transportation partner network.Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong media relations expertise and thrive in a fast-paced environment. They will demonstrate creative aptitude for developing and executing integrated campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels. Success in this role requires exceptional collaboration skills balanced with the capacity to work independently. The candidate must have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines, coupled with excellent writing abilities. Strong initiative, creativity, and adaptability are essential for success.
A day in the life
This role will partner with business teams to drive strategic communications for Amazon's transportation and delivery partner programs. The ideal candidate will develop and execute proactive campaigns across media, content creation, and social channels. They will demonstrate creativity in building compelling programs while working directly with business stakeholders from concept to execution. Strong media relations expertise and spokesperson capabilities are essential to effectively represent Amazon to external audiences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree
Extended Qualifications
- Proven ability to craft clear, compelling narratives across complex business topics, with excellent writing and verbal communication skills- Sound judgment in high-pressure situations, with experience making independent decisions that balance speed and accuracy
- Track record of building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders and media contacts
- Ability to proactively identify storytelling opportunities and develop creative angles that generate meaningful coverage
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated success meeting aggressive deadlines

The base pay for this position ranges from $68,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $147,400/year in our highest geographic market.
