Description
The Amazon Communications team is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and media-savvy PR/Communications professional for the role of Public Relations Manager, Seller Logistics & Ops. The person who fills this high-impact role will drive both proactive and reactive PR activities to positively shape the narrative around the operations offerings that help support our selling partner community, such as Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Supply Chain by Amazon. This person’s work will elevate Amazon innovations that support millions of entrepreneurs and small-to-medium-sized businesses who sell in Amazon’s store. Working closely with business partners to provide PR counsel and guidance, this person will drive PR and communications strategy and execution for key announcements, work in close collaboration with senior business leaders, and craft thoughtful messaging and narratives that resonate with media and stakeholders. The role will also support issues management, helping to manage media escalations while looking around corners to plan ahead for potential issues.
This role can be located in Seattle, WA, NYC, or the Washington, D.C. area.
The successful candidate will thrive as a self-starter who can confidently formulate and communicate PR/communications recommendations and plans to both peers and executives, foster collaborative decision-making, cultivate valuable relationships across internal and external networks, and consistently deliver impressive results. He/she will also be comfortable providing trusted counsel and guidance to stakeholders across multiple disciplines, and will excel at translating complex programs into clear, compelling communications. Additionally, this role will consistently work with a range of media contacts across ecommerce trade and national business publications.
The ideal candidate will have proven PR/communications expertise, an impressive portfolio of successful proactive media campaigns with measurable coverage results, and exceptional media relations skills – both in landing proactive stories on a national scale and managing issues and reactive storylines.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead PR strategy and programs related to seller operations and logistics
• Serve as a trusted PR/communications advisor to executives and cross-functional teams on strategic approaches and compelling messaging
• Manage and guide proactive PR announcements, launches, and narratives
• Develop and manage relationships with a range of top-tier media contacts
• Craft persuasive messaging and talking points that evolve with business priorities and external dynamics
• Build, guide, and execute PR plans, including communicating plans internally and securing leadership approvals
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges, both proactively and reactively
• Help manage a third-party agency to support PR activities
• Willingness to represent Amazon as a spokesperson
Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree
Extended Qualifications
- B2B or Operations-focused Public Relations experience- Ability to successfully managing proactive announcements with coverage results
- Media relations expertise in both pitching proactive stories on a national scale and managing issues and reactive storylines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
