Description
The Policy Communications and External Affairs team is at the forefront of shaping communications around the most advanced technologies on the planet and helping advocate for policies that enable customer innovation. The team is seeking an experienced communications leader to drive media relations and communications campaigns that support policy and business objectives across the U.S. This individual will execute successful strategic communications campaigns, build media relationships, and serve as an on-the-record spokesperson. Prior experience related to state and local policy, infrastructure, and technology policy is preferred.Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic storytelling, media engagement, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll dive deep into emerging technology and policy and engage with top tier business, policy, and technology media. You should be motivated by a dynamic, highly creative culture where the challenge of breaking new ground and redefining best practices is welcome. You will have the ability to work alongside a variety of internal teams and operate across different business, policy, and technology areas. You should have extensive media relations and policy experience and a track record of utilizing good judgement in high pressure situations.
Key job responsibilities
- Define, develop, and oversee end-to-end execution of communications programs
- Manage reputational issues with internal stakeholders and members of the media
- Develop and strengthen relationships with technology, policy, and business journalists
- Work cross-functionally to plan and execute PR campaigns
- Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges with high judgment and professionalism
Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
