The Prime Video Payments team is seeking a Principal Product Manager - Tech (Principal PMT) to be the product leader for Payments with a mission to enable customers worldwide to pay for Prime Video services seamlessly - with the payment method of their choice and on the device of their choice. All commerce projects under this charter are integration heavy and requires excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, strong technical expertise, the ability to partner effectively across teams within and outside of Amazon, and the ability to manage high-impact projects.

We are looking for a highly analytical, resourceful, customer focused, team oriented individual who also has the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. He or she will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Key job responsibilities

路 Define the strategic vision, own the long-term roadmap, and drive teams to execute on that vision.

路 Write and deliver business requirement documents and artifacts required to enable the team's development of products, features and infrastructure.

路 Maintain and continuously prioritize backlog and roadmap based on data and customer needs.

路 Write narratives to advocate for and justify product launches and changes.

路 Build and improve a working relationship with key stakeholder and cross functional business partners.

路 Contribute to and develop the team's processes and mechanisms.

路 Regularly participate in stand-ups, design reviews and other meetings with engineers, and contribute to the discussion to ensure a high quality bar.

路 Define metrics (e.g., KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness) to track product鈥檚 adoption, performance and any variance against goals.



Qualifications

- 4+ years of end to end product delivery experience

- 8+ years of technical product or program management experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- Experience technical product management



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

- Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams

- MBA preferred

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
