Amazon CloudFront is a web service for content delivery and one of the cornerstones of AWS. We bring the Internet closer to end users, speeding up the user experience. CloudFront integrates with other Amazon Web Services to give developers and businesses an easy way to distribute content (webpages, games, movies, live streams, etc.) to end users with low latency and high data transfer speeds at scale. CloudFront Functions and Lambda@Edge offer customers serverless edge computing environment to implement advanced application logic closer to the viewers delivering better performance, scalability and security.

We are looking for a Principal Product Management leader to drive the strategy and roadmap for the Amazon CloudFront service. You will own all aspects of your portfolio, from strategy to features to user experience to operational excellence. You will frequently work directly with your customers and partners to understand their needs from both a business and technical perspective. You will be responsible for defining customer focused feature sets, identifying bold bets, diving deep into service metrics, network analytics, pricing and bundling, and being the overall business owner of the product. As a Principal Product Manager you are expected to excel in an ambiguous, fast paced environment. You will have high judgement and understand which opportunities drive the most strategic value for the business. You will not be limited by the present and will constantly look ahead to the future.

Successful candidates will enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. Candidates must have excellent analytical capabilities, be comfortable diving deep into data, have strong writing skills, and lead executive-level reviews. Candidates must have a track record of understanding customer needs and delivering technology solutions to address those needs. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the AWS business.

The role is based in Seattle (WA).

Key job responsibilities

As a principal product manager, you will drive our strategy and product roadmap providing industry leading experiences for delivery of requests using CloudFront. You will define the roadmap for how we build world class observability for the customers. You will have end-to-end product responsibility from working with key customers to delivering revolutionary new features and functionality. In addition, you will lead launch activities, relentlessly dive deep with customers and AWS teams, author and present data-driven narratives to AWS leadership, and drive strategic decisions. You will truly understand what it means to operate, build, and grow a business.

A day in the life

As a Principal Product Manager at CloudFront, you will be at the forefront of steering product strategy for the service. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape and bring to fruition the next wave of capabilities for the service. You will ideate on bold ideas and influence leadership at all levels to implement them.

Additionally, you will create go-to-market strategies to drive your product outcomes. You will own the pricing design for your capabilities. You will have frequent interactions with customers across industries to address customer needs.

Qualifications

- 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

- 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

- Experience delivering large scale websites or applications based products, or related cloud technologies. Experience driving GTM for the products.



Extended Qualifications

- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $163,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
