Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Principal PMT - B2C product strategy, will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing Kuiper consumer business strategy in 100+ countries.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will work directly with customers, marketing, business teams, and operational stakeholders to define Kuiper service offerings via expertly crafted working backwards, business strategy documents which informs Kuiper's consumer product offering and strategy in each of the launch country.

This role requires the ability to work in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and must be comfortable interacting with highly technical cross-functional teams. The candidate must have strong business judgment, dive deep into data, have strong writing skills and be comfortable leading CEO/SVP-level reviews. Candidates must be able to gather and analyze customer and market data to inform the business strategy.

The best candidates will have deep understanding of customer needs for modern telecommunication services. The candidate will also have strong executive presence and can clearly articulate business strategy in both verbal and written format. Candidates with demonstrated business strategy and analytics experience within the consumer vertical will be preferred.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

- 7+ years experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- 5+ years experience managing technical products or online services

- 5+ years experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

- 5+ years experience owning/driving business strategy and definition

- Strong writing skills and prior experiences in presenting to CEO/SVP



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements

- Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
