AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Principal Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) with domain expertise in the Financial Services (FSI) industry. As an FSI PSA, you will have the opportunity to deliver on our strategy of accelerating adoption of AWS cloud computing services through our consulting and technology partners and their FSI customers. AWS partners include the largest software and systems integration companies, as well as hundreds of innovative software and services companies, who are using AWS as their cloud platform of choice. This role will focus on working with multiple strategic consulting and technology partners to define and build technical solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in software architecture, info security, compliance initiatives, software deployment and cloud computing as well as customer facing skills at all levels of a partner organization. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges. The ideal candidate is an influencer by nature and must be seen as someone the partners are eager to engage with and have a strong hands-on approach. They will be the subject matter expert for the FSI industry to design and build reliable and scalable cloud solutions with AWS Partners. They will be responsible for accelerating customers’ cloud adoption in the Banking industry, including core banking systems modernization, intelligent document processing, risk compliance, and cyber event recovery.
AWS partners develop and deploy solutions for customers in the FSI industry including Insurance, Banking, Capital Markets and Payment System providers. AWS customers are developing some of the most exciting and innovative new businesses, and partners are using cloud technologies from AWS such as Generative AI and Machine Learning, IoT, compute and storage to dramatically accelerate innovation.
Key job responsibilities
* Work with cross functional teams to create and execute a strategic technical plan, inclusive of enablement, practice development, and go-to market support on solutions that meet FSI customer needs with measurable ROI
* Evangelize partners’ value proposition internally throughout AWS and externally with customers
* Drive partner solutions, APN Program attainment, continuous enablement through training and certifications and go-to-market strategies for differentiation and expansion of their footprint
* Establish AWS as the partner’s preferred cloud platform for FSI
* Understand the technical requirements of each partner and work closely with the internal AWS development team to guide the direction of our product offerings
* Work alongside the AWS Partner Development Specialists to develop extensive executive and senior management relationships within partner organizations and become their trusted advisor
* Provide the architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote successful engagements with software partners worldwide
* Partner with Generalist SAs, Sales, Business Development and service development teams to accelerate customer adoption of partner solutions.
* Assist solution providers with the definition of technical strategies that will enable them to sell more of their offering on the AWS platform
* Capture and share best-practice knowledge with our broader Solution Architect community
* Share customer feedback to internal product management and engineering teams to help drive the future of AWS

Qualifications
- 12+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience- 10+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 8+ years experience with financial services industry
Extended Qualifications
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $164,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $284,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
