Description
As a Project Manager in the Space Simulation Lab, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex space simulation projects while maintaining the highest safety standards. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives across lab operations and project management methodologies.Key job responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end project management for space simulation initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and improvements for all lab activities, ensuring 100% compliance with safety standards
• Develop project schedules, resource plans, and budgets for multiple concurrent projects
• Identify and mitigate risks through proactive planning and regular risk assessment reviews
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project metrics, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process enhancements
• Facilitate cross-functional communication between engineering, research, operations, and leadership teams
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including safety procedures, test protocols, and lessons learned
• Lead incident investigations when safety events occur and implement corrective actions
• Perform procurement activities through multiple channels to complete projects
Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience implementing and maintaining safety protocols in laboratory or industrial settings and proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
- Demonstrated track record of leading continuous improvement initiatives
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
