Description

Amazon IT Services (ITS) is seeking an experienced Operations Program Manager to establish and operationalize ITS-wide communications infrastructure, governance frameworks, and operational cadence. This role will drive strategic alignment and organizational effectiveness across all ITS organizations by building scalable communication systems, enabling self-service capabilities, and executing strategic campaigns that keep our global IT workforce informed and engaged.

The ideal candidate combines program management excellence with communications expertise, bringing structure and automation to complex organizational challenges while maintaining a customer-obsessed approach to internal stakeholder needs.

Key job responsibilities

Communications Infrastructure & Governance

- Design and implement org-wide intake system with standardized request forms, automated routing, and SLA tracking dashboards with capacity forecasting

- Develop priority matrix with objective scoring criteria and facilitate regular leadership prioritization sessions to align communications roadmap

- Create service tier framework defining self-service versus fully-supported communications with clear decision criteria

- Implement AI-powered solutions for content creation, approval workflow automation, and personalized employee communications

Resource Development & Enablement

- Build comprehensive self-service toolkits including templates, messaging libraries, best practice guides, and automated knowledge bases

- Develop and enforce ITS brand standards ensuring consistency across all communications

- Create communications POC network across ITS teams to identify needs and support resource distribution

- Design fully-supported communication packages for strategic initiatives and maintain centralized resource repository with analytics-driven continuous improvement

Strategic Communications Execution

- Develop quarterly communication strategies aligned to business priorities and execute multi-channel campaigns (newsletters, town halls, AMAs)

- Publish quarterly/annual ROB calendar integrating all ITS meetings, reviews, and planning cycles

- Build automated reporting dashboards providing real-time metrics on reach, engagement, and comprehension to drive data-informed improvements



Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in communications or equivalent

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

- Experience managing competing priorities across a wide range of stakeholders

- 5+ years of experience in communications, change management, or organizational effectiveness



Extended Qualifications

- Experience working in complex IT environments or equivalent

- Experience working with industry tools and analytics packages, including web analytics, targeting, testing, CRM, and marketing automation platforms

- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent

- Experience in contracting and legal compliance review

- Demonstrated experience building self-service tools and enablement programs

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
