AWS Applications and Higher Level Abstractions (Apps) provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals.

The Role: The NPI Program Manager is responsible for driving New product introduction from manufacturing operations perspective from Proof-of-concept [POC] to End of Life [EOL]. This person has a business orientation and is responsible for working within the local and remote operations, engineering teams driving development, implementation and management of the program budget and schedule. This person also is the business owner for the major supplier relationships for key modules and final assembly for new custom devices. They are involved throughout all stages of the product family's lifecycle to ensure the business achieves all financial and schedule milestone targets through end-of-life. They will support weekly executive product line reviews outlining performance against budget, target and actual cost, and schedule. This individual will also be responsible for the management and delivery of the program’s financial health (BOM+MVA, tooling and NRE) for groundbreaking devices.

Key job responsibilities

This role will balance responsibilities between manufacturing operations and hardware compliance, focusing on:

• Leading build plan proposals across JWO Hardware product lines based on forecast interpretation.

• Managing manufacturing readiness and operational activities for JWO Hardware NPI programs.

• Overseeing tactical activities related to inbound logistics for hardware devices.

• Ensuring environmental compliance data collection through third-party providers.

• Coordinating compliance team schedules, logistics, intake processes, and global compliance coordination with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams



Extended Qualifications

- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
