The 12 months on the job training consists of a combination of internal training paired with shadow opportunities and industry recognized certifications.

Key job responsibilities
As a Network Engineer working at Amazon you will have end to end ownership (architecture/design/scale) of our current and newly developing networks
Drive the scaling of our current network designs to meet the demand of our customers
Work closely with our internal customers on new solutions, bringing them from concept to public launch
Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network adheres to these standards
Work closely with our automation teams to assist in defining our toolchain
Drive operational excellence projects to improve network performance and reliability
Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions
Work with a wide range of complex technologies
Review and implement changes on the network
Qualifications
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or related STEM field with a conferral date within the last 24 months or an expected conferral date of March 2026 -September 2026- OR a graduate of Skillstorm, WA2VETS, or MSSA with a conferral date on or after 9/1/25 AND either a Bachelor’s Degree in a Network/IT related field OR 4+ years of equivalent Network/IT experience
Extended Qualifications
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, Linux (Redhat), Microsoft hardware (installation), AWS, or other industry relevant certifications- Experience with networking technology (TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS and DHCP)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
