Description
**This role is able to sit in Bellevue, WA, Phoenix, AZ, Austin TX, or New York, New York.**Amazon's North America Supply Chain (NASC) Strategy Team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the launch of the High Volume Event Planning program and manage teams as they prepare for major events like Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Peak season. In this role, you will own the end-to-end path to peak readiness program for NA Supply Chain, delivering complex cross-functional projects to ensure our fulfillment network is prepared to handle increased demand during holiday and promotional periods.
You will operate with significant independence, partnering with general managers, stakeholder teams across transportation, fulfillment, and supply chain to drive readiness initiatives to successful completion. Leveraging your deep understanding of supply chain operations, tools, workflows, and interdependencies, you will make critical connections, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment across all involved stakeholder teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the path to peak readiness program, delivering complex cross-functional projects
- Prepare the fulfillment network for high volume events like Prime Day, Black Friday, Peak season
- Work independently while partnering across operations, transportation, fulfillment, and engineering
- Develop expertise in supply chain problems, tools, workflows, and interdependencies
- Facilitate critical conversations, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged
- Mitigate risks by arranging reviews to prevent consequences of poor decisions
- Maintain a customer-centric focus on the overall business picture, experience, and opportunities
- Understand requirements, goals, stakeholder needs, and define key success metrics
- Guide teams in making strategic trade-offs between experience, financial goals, speed, etc.
- Partner with leaders to secure resources, scope projects, set priorities, and drive delivery
- Identify areas for continuous improvement through iteration on success metrics
- Manage the critical path, proactively mitigating risks and controlling scope
- Own all program communication, driving timely decisions to accelerate readiness
- Apply process excellence methodologies like Agile, Lean, Kaizen, etc.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the business cadence and governance (daily/weekly/monthly business reviews) for area of responsibility
- Deliver action plans for Sr managers and Directors, while being a trusted partner to these network leaders
- Own annual planning and other event planning cycles
- Execute and drive internal team program/project delivery, execution, and adoption across multiple organizations and teams
- Measure and report effectiveness of new programs
- Collaborate with project stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and make tradeoffs
- Execute on communications strategy to stakeholders, including ownership of business cadence (all hands, team meetings etc.)
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities
- Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner
- Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas, and have the team's success firmly in your focus
- Own goals/performance reporting
- Ability to travel 20-25%
Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Extended Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
