Calling all inventors to work on exciting new opportunities in Sponsored Ads.Amazon is building a world class advertising business and defining and delivering a collection of self-service performance advertising products that drive discovery and sales of merchandise. Our products are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace businesses, driving long-term growth. Sponsored Ads (SA) helps merchants, retail vendors, and brand owners grows incremental sales of their products sold on Amazon through native advertising. SA achieves this by using a combination of machine learning, big data analytics, ultra-low latency high-volume engineering systems, and quantitative product focus. We are a highly motivated, collaborative and fun-loving group with an entrepreneurial spirit and bias for action.

You will lead a newly-formed team with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate, which will give you the flexibility to develop systems and services from the ground up. You will have the satisfaction of seeing your team's work improve the experience of millions of Amazon shoppers while driving quantifiable revenue impact. Your team will lead design/architecture efforts across the full-stack, including scientists to develop ML systems. In addition to leading the team, you will have an opportunity to grow and broaden your technical skills as you work in an environment that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and collaboration.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of engineering experience- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment
Extended Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $198,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $342,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
