We're seeking an exceptional technical leader who will drive strategic open source initiatives and bridge cutting-edge technology with customer success. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate across teams to unlock groundbreaking solutions that empower developers and transform how businesses leverage open source technologies.

Key job responsibilities

• Guide the team in developing architectural best practices for customers implementing large-scale data processing solutions and AI/ML workflows using open source technologies

• Oversee the development of strategic roadmaps for customers adopting emerging open source technologies in data, AI, and cloud-native domains

• Lead initiatives to quantify and communicate the business value of open source adoption to C-level executives at key accounts

• Drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to develop and implement customer-focused strategies around open source software, that accelerate AWS adoption and maximize business value

• Guide the development of technical content, workshops, and architectural frameworks that address customer challenges and accelerate their cloud adoption

• Provide signals from the field to product and engineering teams, influencing product strategy and roadmap through data-driven insights

• Collaborate with Legal, Security, and Engineering teams to ensure proper open source risk management

• Guide teams on effective community engagement strategies and contribution models to build influence in strategic open source projects

• Drive company representation at open source conferences, speaking engagements, and community events (approximately 25% travel required)

• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging open source technologies to inform strategic recommendations

A day in the life

A Day in the Life of a Senior Manager, AI/ML Solutions Architecture:

Lead strategic customer meetings where your team showcases transformative OSS solutions. Coach Solutions Architects on complex OSS implementations while reviewing architecture designs. Partner with AWS service teams to influence product strategy based on customer needs. Develop thought leadership content and prepare for industry speaking engagements. Guide executives through their OSS transformation journey and end your day mentoring team members and staying current with the latest developments in OSS and the intersection of AI.

The Strategic Accounts and Specialist SA and EMEA Tech teams' mission is to create a future where our customer can build anything they can imagine, with fewer bad days. Your peers teams include other areas of deep technical specialty including data and analytics, network, security, and open source software.



Qualifications

- 5+ years of management of technical, enterprise customer facing resources or equivalent experience

- 10+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience architecting/operating solutions built on any cloud service provider like Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI, etc.



Extended Qualifications

- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud

- Experience in people management and CXO level engagement

- Experience in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $312,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
