At Amazon, we're revolutionizing how things get made and moved. Our NASC Engineering team needs a dynamic leader to drive next-generation manufacturing and sortation systems.

We're seeking an experienced engineering leader to revolutionize Amazon's global sortation and transportation systems through innovative design and automation solutions. You'll have the autonomy to lead high-impact projects that combine mechanical systems, robotics, and process optimization—working with leading technology and some of the industry's top talent.

Key job responsibilities

- Design and implement assembly line systems that push the boundaries of what's possible

- Create manufacturing processes that scale globally

- Lead teams integrating mechanical systems with controls and automation

- Transform production efficiency through innovative mechanical design

- Drive multiple concurrent projects from concept to completion

Key deliverables:

- Own mechanical design initiatives for manufacturing and sortation systems

- Develop manufacturing solutions that optimize process flow and system integration

- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex mechanical projects on time

- Make data-driven decisions to improve production processes

- Partner with controls and automation teams to ensure seamless integration

- Build scalable solutions that work across our global network



Qualifications

- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures



Extended Qualifications

- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent

- Experience with the project management of technical projects

- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production

- Success implementing robotics and automated assembly systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
