Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principle Supply Chain and Manufacturing Product Manager - Technical, with a deep understanding of SAP Materials Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Manufacturing Execution Systems and Warehouse Operations.

The role requires exceptional strategic thinking to define and execute the product vision for our manufacturing technology solutions. The Principal Product Manager Technical will be responsible for developing comprehensive product roadmaps that align with market trends, customer needs, and technological advancements. They will work closely with engineering teams, stakeholders, and customers to identify market opportunities, prioritize features, and ensure product-market fit. The position demands a deep understanding of supply chain, manufacturing processes, digital transformation, and emerging technologies to drive innovative solutions that address complex manufacturing challenges.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leads, system users, and key stakeholders to understand pain point for usage of systems and requirements for scaling operations

• Conduct analysis of business and customer requirements for Kuiper Manufacturing Operations.

• Develop product strategy, vision, feature designs for in-house manufacturing and outsourced manufacturing.

• Communicate with internal stakeholders, including other PMTs, TPMs, engineering team, integrating systems, and external interdependent teams, to ensure alignment of the product roadmap.

• Participate in tool assessments, design processes, product features and build proof of concepts

• Active participation in System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, Standard Operating procedure creation, Training to ensure success of product vision.

• Collaborate with team for Weekly and Monthly business review with executive (tech/non-tech)

• Identify and track metrics around business users’ adoption to identify and implement improvements in product, processes and trainings

A day in the life

Bring in expert knowledge of discrete manufacturing. Understand the existing systems and technology in depth. Work closely with Manufacturing systems users on the floor on a daily basis and follow through manufacturing execution processes, quality processes in system. Identify gaps between current system product features and business needs. Identify metrics to assess feature impact to business and provide prioritization. Drive product discussions. Distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, engineering team builders, and business entities. Work closely with the SAP system engineering team to understand build estimates, system impacts and deployment schedules.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Manufacturing or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience working as a functional analyst, product manager or in a related role within manufacturing domain.

- 5+ years of experience working closely with manufacturing floor for improving Production Rate, Throughput, Manufacturing Cycle Time, Capacity Planning and Quality controls



Extended Qualifications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex business requirements and design appropriate technical solutions.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

- Experience with software development methodologies and tools.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Exposure to use of various ERP products, exposure to SAP systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $161,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
