We are hiring for a Senior Manager, PM-T to lead the product team driving Shopping CX for Amazon’s fast growing online Grocery business. We're looking for a results-oriented candidate with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills who can also make a positive contribution to our team culture.

In this role, you will own shaping how customers discover and shop groceries across Amazon.com, and our Fresh, WholeFoods and 3P online grocery stores worldwide. You will partner with multiple stakeholders across various Amazon retail organizations, and lead the product strategy and roadmap to improve discovery for our new customers, navigation and browse experience, and repeat shopping experience. You will provide leadership on complex product issues, and be responsible for high-judgement decisions day to day. A successful candidate is expected to be a strategic leader with strong product acumen, has a record of driving successful leadership and executive alignment, and a strong technical foundation. They will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and thrive in fast paced environments. You will grow, develop, and lead a passionate and talented team of Product Managers. As a leader, you set the vision for the team, guide them to develop roadmaps to solve highest-value problems, and to promote your team’s work. You will work closely with senior leaders, influence our long-term strategy, help us hire and grow talent, and ultimately increase Amazon’s ability to innovate rapidly. With strong product instincts, technical expertise, and sound judgement, you’ll be able to make meaningful, worldwide impact.

Key job responsibilities

* Own the product strategy, roadmap, and requirements to shape and invent our product offering.

* Lead a product team comprised of product managers to build the future of online grocery shopping on Amazon

* Partner closely with engineering leaders to foster a collaborative, empowered culture

* Establish a shared vision across the organization by engaging with stakeholders and insuring the roadmap meets customer and business needs.

* Create buy-in for the product vision, both internally and with key external partners.

* Own the strategy and stakeholder partnership to drive adoption of our products.

* Own the communication with leadership and WW partner teams.

* Attract, build, manage, and develop talent to create an inclusive team of product leaders.

A day in the life

This leader will focus on providing clarity on the product to the internal organization, stakeholders, and leadership. This will involve working with your direct reports to enable them to own parts of the product while you stay connected with key leaders to inform the overall product strategy. You will have to collaborate effectively with engineering, science, and design leaders to provide a realistic view on how the product evolves. You will work with senior leaders outside across partner organizations in the business (Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, Grocery Partners, Sub Same-Day, Everyday Essentials), design, and customer experience spaces. You will lead product level mechanisms in the organization including annual roadmap planning, quarterly business reviews, and metric reviews. You will work with your team to produce working backwards documents, and requirements to align organizations on what we are building for customers.

About the team

The Shopping Experience product management team consists of six senior or principal product managers who work with their stakeholders, UX partners, and engineering and quality teams to build better experiences. The team is among five product teams in the broader CX grocery product organization, comprised of senior managers, product managers, and UX designers improving the grocery shopping experience for Amazon customers. We collaborate with the program business teams, fulfillment operations, delivery, and customer service teams.



Qualifications

- 6+ years of team management experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product



Extended Qualifications

- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
