Description

Amazon.com is looking for a Manager, Strategic Supply Chain to join the Softlines team. This leader will lead a high performing team of Supply Chain Managers, and is responsible for solving complex supply chain challenges internally at Amazon and externally with selling partners. This position requires a candidate with proven analytical skills along with the leadership ability to influence central operations and supply chain technology teams.

A successful candidate in this role will lead a team to deliver process improvements and drive automation, while continuously improving operational metrics for the business to support the growth of the category.

Key job responsibilities

As a Mgr, Strategic Supply Chain you will be responsible for:

- Optimizing customer experience by ensuring Amazon has the right product quantities, in the right places, at the right time.

- Determining inventory strategies to optimize sales, margins, turns and inventory health, and leading the team to execute.

- Monitoring, analyzing and owning key performance indicators such as instock rate, vendor lead time, fill rate, and forecast accuracy.

- Establishing expertise on product lifecycle transitions and effectively optimizing forecasts, planning, and procurement parameters.

- Demonstrating good judgment and establishing the right goals & priorities.

- Establishing and maintaining strong vendor operational relationships leading to vendor compliance.

- Drive profitability by working directly with Selling Partners to lower the cost to serve through existing and new cost out initiatives.

- Partner with technology teams to drive automation and scalability across the worldwide organization.

- Mentoring, managing, and supporting their team of direct reports.



Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree

- 5+ years of relevant business experience (e.g. inventory planning, operations/supply chain, retail, consulting, finance, and/or ecommerce), with a history of driving/owning results

- Strong business judgement and excellent written and oral communication skills

- Experience successfully coaching and developing others, and influencing internal and external stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through prioritization, planning, and task delegation

- Experience working with data to drive business decisions, including advanced proficiency in Excel



Extended Qualifications

- MBA/Master's Degree

- Demonstrates creative problem solving by adapting frameworks or existing best practices to solve problems in a unique way

- Proven ability to manage large and complicated projects and setting strategy, with extensive experience leading cross-functional projects and teams

- Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

- Track record of building and developing a high performing team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $208,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
