Description
The Sales Planning and Policy (SP2) team within AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) Operations is looking for an innovative, customer-centric, and experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results, to own and drive improvements SMGS Ops. This role is high visibility, and strategic in nature.Our ideal candidate understands that supporting their people and our customers are among the most critical roles they perform. They must be open and approachable while focused on how to grow, scale, and optimize efforts in a high-tech, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a keen sense of ownership and entrepreneurship knowing how to earn trust while working cross-organizationally to deliver results. The successful candidate will also have a passion for delighting customers, working in a team environment, and continuously improving performance.
Key job responsibilities
- Works across teams and organizations on a global scale to drive process improvements, implement solutions, and reduce process waste.
- Leads complex, cross-functional, strategic projects.
- Applies rigorous approach to problem solving.
- Highly analytical skills needed to interpret large data sets.
- Structures and develops implementation plans.
- Manages critical relations with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrates strong hands-on project and operations management.

AWS’ SMGS SP2 team provides the technology, tools, and processes to support the rapidly growing worldwide AWS Sales organization. This includes finding inventive ways to develop policy, processes, and proprietary tooling and scale the business, which will be critical for AWS to continue its incredible growth.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- Experience in business-process design or equivalent
- 3+ years of management experience
Extended Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $219,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
