Description
Amazon is seeking an experienced public relations professional to help manage communications for our worldwide advertising business. Amazon Ads helps brands reach relevant audiences on our sites, apps, devices and across the web in ways that help grow their businesses and create value for customers.Key job responsibilities
As a PR Manager for Amazon Ads, you will provide communications counsel to and partner with business leaders to craft and execute global programs in support of business goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing and executing owned and earned proactive and reactive communications strategies, tactics, and content; ongoing media relations; collaborating with stakeholders across the Amazon Ads PR and policy teams, as well as Amazon’s global PR team; and working with our international teams to help extend and localize programs for their regions.
The successful candidate is customer-obsessed with high-judgment, and possesses excellent communications, media relations, and project management skills. The candidate should have experience working with high standards under tight deadlines and a proven track record of effectively managing complex and high-profile media engagements.
A day in the life
• Spearhead owned and earned communications strategies and messaging
• Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business leaders globally
• Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news and proactively provide related counsel
• Build and maintain media relationships
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
About the team
Our team is global, with members in North America, Europe, and APAC.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field
- Experience managing a current network of media contacts
Extended Qualifications
- Advertising industry experience (in particular ad tech or streaming TV)- Experience working with sales teams
- Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats
- Experience working internationally
- Experience working with the media proactively to accomplish business goals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $188,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
