Description

The Selection leader for NA Stores business is the single threaded leader of our Selection strategy across categories. The leader owns the charter to shape the vision, leads a team to collaborate with business and technology teams to formulate a multi year selection roadmap, and scale mechanisms to track performance and prioritize supplier recruitment. The role requires recurring engagement with senior executives and across multiple internal teams.

The candidate must display bar raising customer obsession, ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders, inspire and motivate the team, and demonstrate role model written communication skills.

This team conceptualizes and executes on high visibility + impact high initiatives across North America Stores. The team builds mechanisms to be updated with evolving customer needs, and display thought leadership on leveraging new technologies to scale our efforts. The leader will also collaborate with peers across other countries to share best practices and align on a global selection footprint.

Key job responsibilities

Amazon aims to offer the largest selection to our customers. Expanding selection is critical to provide the best experience to our customers. The Sr. manager will:

1. Lead a team of 5-6 high performing product and program managers, who in turn are owning strategic workstreams across NA priorities.

2. Work with NA Stores Category teams (both retail and 3P) to fill the gaps towards our goal to offer 100% of selection for the most important brands.

3. Drive selection monitoring and addition programs including Buyability, Brand Coverage and define the strategy for new brands

4. Establish the goals and strategy of new products and enhancements for NA Selection

5. Manage prioritization and trade-offs among selling partner and customer experience, and operational support load.



Qualifications

- 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- 6+ years of team management experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $160,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $265,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
