Are you an experienced Product Manager?

Have you ever thought about what it takes to detect and prevent fraudulent purchases among hundreds of millions of e-Commerce transactions in different countries? What would you do to create a trusted marketplace where millions of buyers and sellers can safely transact online? What kinds of processes and systems would you build to maximize customer satisfaction and proactively identify and neutralize new and growing fraud threats? Amazon is seeking an experienced Product Manager with strong bias for action, ability to dive deep, and has experience leading multi-organizational product initiatives for our global payment risk team.

Our mission in Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) is to make Amazon the safest place to transact online. BRP safeguards every financial transaction across all Amazon sites, while striving to ensure that these efforts are transparent to our legitimate customers. As such, BRP designs and builds the software systems, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

* People Management: manage a team of Program Managers that oversee the Non Guaranteed (NGP) Payments Portfolio. Ensure team is delivering against tech and non tech roadmaps. Focusing on hiring and developing Program Managers within this space.

* Product Management: develop the strategic vision and roadmap for WW Payment Products, aligning with top level organizational business objectives. Manage the deployment lifecycle of a product and continuous improvement work in collaboration with Engineering and Machine Learning teams. Collaborate with Amazon Payments (AP) stakeholders to ensure we are up to date on industry regulations and partner across internal BRP teams to build the appropriate product solutions to remain compliant.

* Results & Accountability: Ensures that effective controls are developed and maintained across the organization. Takes corrective action, as appropriate. Strong commitment towards goals and outcomes and to ensure the completion within established time-frames. Drives and facilitates moderately complex projects; focuses on results and measuring attainment of outcomes.

* Reporting: Reporting on progress of multiple projects, KPIs for NGP portfolio, and providing regular updates to senior management.

* Collaboration: Partners with (advises and supports) the global process owners, Site leaders, Operation managers in identifying, defining and executing various process improvement projects.



Qualifications

- 3+ years of team management experience

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

- Bachelor's degree

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

- Experience with end to end product delivery

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product



Extended Qualifications

- Experience relying on analytics and data to cultivate deep customer empathy, shape product decisions and track effectiveness of change

- Experience working with a cross-functional team across design, operations, and engineering team to meet high-reaching goals

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $134,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
