Our Customer Success team is seeking an experienced Manager who is customer obsessed and believes there is always an opportunity to improve the way customers discover and engage with learning. As the leader, you'll manage and develop a team that partners directly with our Americas (AMER) AWS Data Center Operations organization to enable learning at scale. Your team will help to ensure that we are building the most important, most impactful training solutions while driving key outcomes including "Day 1" readiness of our builders in their role and for new technologies coming into our business. You will work closely with AMER teams, with Data Center Learning managers and leadership, and with senior Operations leadership in AMER to drive awareness and adoption of Data Center Learning products and services.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Center Learning, each Manager of Customer Success is responsible for all customer success activities in their geographic regions (AMER, APMEA + EURI).
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.
You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key job responsibilities
- Knowledge and awareness: You manage a team that drives changes to processes, tools, and products based on customer needs. You have a comprehensive understanding of customers’ sentiments regarding Data Center Learning products and services.
- Raising the bar: You do not allow solutions to be de-scoped to a less than acceptable state. You raise the bar on solution quality, customer outcomes, and individual/team performance standards.
- Actionable insights: You are proficient in transforming raw thoughts into actionable and measurable plans and mechanisms.
- Strategic perspective: You provide strategic, long-term perspective and context (past, current, and future) behind business and/or technology choices.
- Hiring and development: You effectively hire, manage performance, coach, and promote.
- Communication: You communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs. You have influential working relationships with stakeholders, leadership, and peers. You encourage constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
- Simplification: You are a simplifier. You judiciously add, refine, and remove processes. You increase the productivity and effectiveness of the teams you manage and work alongside.
- Empowerment: You empower your team to organize, analyze, and share customer feedback with organization leadership to ensure our decisions always consider the voice of the customer.
- Mechanism development: You develop and/or ensure the development of closed-loop mechanisms to drive toward defined goals, and hold your team accountable for tracking, goal setting, and delivering results. You can course correct when necessary.

Qualifications
- 7+ years developing and executing strategies, development and delivery of creative and innovative solutions across operations organizations- 5+ years of team management
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
Extended Qualifications
- BA or BS degree- 3+ years of relevant experience in Data Center Operations
- Knowledge and/or hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services is highly desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and at least one Business Intelligence tool (Tableau, OBIEE, PowerBI, etc.)
- Proven experience in program management with emphasis on reviewing project plans, aligning program goals, defining program governance, and other project related tasks to provide best practice guidance

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $236,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
