Description
AWS Payments and Fraud Prevention is seeking an exceptional Sr. Manager PMT-ES to lead a team of product managers focused on transforming how customers adopt and transact with AWS. This role drives strategic initiatives that expand AWS's global reach and accessibility by increasing geographic payment coverage, diversifying payment methods, and reducing friction across customer touchpoints. The position requires balancing growth-oriented product innovation with operational excellence, overseeing initiatives that span from streamlining enterprise onboarding and payment experiences to pioneering next-generation capabilities like embedded checkout and AI-powered payment solutions. The leader will guide cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact through improved customer conversion, enhanced payment success rates, and optimized cash flow management, while building the foundation for future autonomous payment capabilities that meet customers wherever they are in their cloud journey.Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for global payment adoption and customer accessibility across AWS's expanding customer base
Partner with senior leadership across AWS Billing, Accounting, FinTech, Sales, and external financial institutions to align product roadmaps with business objectives
Establish product metrics and KPIs that balance customer adoption, payment success rates, and revenue optimization
Product Development & Execution
Lead a team of product managers responsible for the payments adoption portfolio spanning payment methods expansion, enterprise onboarding, and GenAI-powered tools
Prioritize and sequence initiatives across geographic payment coverage expansion, payment method diversification, and customer contact point optimization
Coordinate product launches across 33+ engineering teams spanning multiple organizations
Champion customer-centric solutions that reduce barriers to AWS adoption while maintaining security, compliance, and financial controls
Champion AI-driven development in the organization, including GenAI applications for payment lifecycle management
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering leaders to balance technical architecture decisions with product requirements across Payments and Fraud Prevention teams
Partner with operations teams to ensure products are scalable and operationally excellent across payment processing, cash application, and collections
Collaborate with legal, compliance, and security teams to navigate regulatory requirements across global markets and emerging payment technologies
Coordinate with external partners including payment processors, financial institutions, real-time payment networks, and blockchain providers
Innovation & Risk Management
Identify emerging payment technologies (real-time payments, stablecoins, embedded checkout) and financing models that could benefit AWS customers
Drive automation and machine learning initiatives to improve payment success rates and operational scalability
Balance innovation velocity with the security, stability, and compliance requirements of financial systems serving millions of customers globally

You'll lead product managers who ship systems processing millions of daily transactions, leverage ML for fraud detection, and create products that accelerate customer success and expand AWS's global reach. Qualifications
- 5+ years of people management experience- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience in people management
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Extended Qualifications
- 8+ years of successful technology products work from ideation through launch experience- Experience in successful technology product work from ideation through launch
- Experience delivering technology products or services in a high growth environment
- Experience shaping business strategy for technical products or services for large enterprises or partners
- Experience with cloud native technologies

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
