Our team is changing the way we interact with customers around the globe and building a new, emerging business in shipping and freight to solve some of the biggest logistical opportunities facing not just Amazon, but the entire industry.The Amazon Shipping & Freight Event & Content Shared Services team works across Europe and America. We are looking for a highly driven and entrepreneurial leader, with focus on industry events, partnerships and content, to drive the growth of these two key brands. The ideal candidate will be a highly analytical and hands-on problem solver with a proven track record of successfully managing industry events and partnerships.
You will use your experience to manage a growing team in both regions and deliver industry events that attract and engage enterprises and large e-commerce retail organizations; as well as internal/external business partnerships. You must bring the creativity and agility required to differentiate Amazon in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment and operationalize how we think about events. This role operates cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as our internal business development, PR, integrations, commercial and legal teams plus works with multiple other events teams across Amazon.
The right candidate has successful experience in results-driven marketing, a passion for technology, and an entrepreneurial spirit with strong event marketing, leadership, financial literacy and stakeholder management skills. They will demonstrate ability to balance campaign creation and ideation, data analysis, strategic leadership, project and senior stakeholder management. They have experience working for a B2B tech, or logistics company, leading cross-functional marketing initiatives in a fast moving and ambiguous environment, balancing long-term vision with the ability to execute tactical details in a fast growing space.
Key job responsibilities
• Support strategy, development, and optimization of field marketing events and internal/external campaigns in order to accelerate lead readiness for sales teams.
• End-to-end management of event/campaign projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Work across a dynamic ecosystem of stakeholders to help define, develop, and implement integrated campaign strategies.
• Partner with external agencies in support of event management and execution.
• Dive deep into data with reports and dashboards to provide visibility into campaign results, and effectiveness.
• Provide clear and concise documentation for stakeholder teams that outline strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for campaigns.
• Understand the power of content and storytelling and be able to develop content that resonates across many channels from blogs to thoughts leadership.
• Develop a high-performing, high-growth team, to achieve key metrics
• Develop mechanisms for efficient strategic planning and operationalize mechanisms to automate manual process across all event elements
About the team
The Amazon Shipping & Freight Event & Content Shared Services team works across Europe and America. It is part of the wider Growth marketing teams supporting the development of the Freight and Shipping brands
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience- Experience managing teams
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Strong influencing skills
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working with time-tracking/resource management tools- Experience with budgeting and scheduling software
- Experience in a start-up/high-growth environment
- Analytical tendencies with a natural curiosity to measure, test, learn, and iterate to get the best results possible

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
