This strategic tax advisory role focuses on supporting business and product launches through comprehensive tax planning and consultation. Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Partnering with business teams to upfront shape product strategy and development through proactive tax planning
• Understanding compliance, controllership, and audit requirements to ensure comprehensive and clear requirements are provided to business and partner teams
• Drafting and delivering tax requirements documentation for new products and services
• Leading global tax coordination efforts with regional SMEs to ensure successful global launches
• Conducting pre-launch testing and validation from a tax perspective
• Providing regular updates to tax leadership on project status, business plans, and strategic initiatives

Qualifications
- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Experience in taxation in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm
- Experience managing other employees and leading international tax team through hiring and development
Extended Qualifications
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partner well with people at all levels within an organization, including coaching of junior staff- Experience with accounting concepts and tax regulations, laws and standards
- Experience with tax modeling in Excel-based models or other similar programs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
