Description
Revolutionize global tax strategy by providing critical financial guidance and compliance support for AWS's international operations. Your strategic insights will help protect the organization from potential financial risks while enabling smooth, compliant business expansion across multiple markets.
Key job responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on international indirect tax regulations and their potential impact on AWS operations
- Provide strategic tax guidance to business, technology, supply chain, and marketplace teams
- Develop and implement tax-compliant processes for new projects to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with external advisors and tax authorities to ensure regulatory alignment
- Create and deliver training materials to enhance tax awareness across the organization

Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Experience researching indirect tax issues including taxability of products and services.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects, or experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
Extended Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex) experience- LL.M. (Taxation)
- Knowledge of the Canadian Indirect Tax landscape (GST/HST and PST, QST, etc)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
