A day in the life
Key job responsibilities
- Hire, manage, coach and lead a high performing team of BIEs and Business Analysts
- Develop inferences using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy findings that impact the business
- Build datasets, metrics, and KPIs supporting business goals for the Trust organization
- Design, implement and support end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, reliable, secure, and scale economically
- Collaborate cross-functionally to recognize and help adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
- Proactively identify problems and opportunities and perform root cause analysis/diagnosis leading to significant business impact
- Work closely with business and engineering leadership, including executive leadership at Amazon, to define the technical product and provide updates on the program.
- Own reporting for business reviews with leadership
- Manage all aspects of BI projects such as project planning, requirements definition, risk management, communication, and implementation planning.
- Work with Product, Data Sciences and software development teams to enable the appropriate capture and storage of key data points.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience- 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
Extended Qualifications
- 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience- 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
